Former Kennedy aide to Obama campaign

Melody BarnesMelody Barnes, a longtime advisor to Sen. Ted Kennedy, is leaving her current post at the Center for American Progress to help with Barack Obama's presidential bid, his campaign announced yesterday.

Barnes, who served as Chief Counsel to Kennedy on the Senate Judiciary Committee from December 1995 to March 2003, will serve as a senior domestic policy advisor.
