While the Democrats are partying in Denver next week, former Gov. Mitt Romney is scheduled to swing through the country's biggest party city to headline a fundraiser.
Former Gov. Mitt Romney (R-Belmont)Romney (R-Belmont) is slated to be the main attraction at a fundraiser in Las Vegas, Nev., next Wednesday, according to the Nevada Republican Party.
The $1,000-a-head luncheon will come the day after Romney is scheduled to speak in Denver as part of a coordinated effort to knock the Democratic National Convention off message. Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty (R), who, like Romney, is widely considered to be on presumptive Republican nominee John McCain's (Ariz.) running mate short list, will also speak in Denver next Tuesday.
