Addington is just another
Addington is just another administration lacky that does what he's told, and won't answer to anyone but his bosses. The irony is Republicans are upset about the question due to Addington being evasive about the administration's complicity in facilitating the use of torture.

As long as Kos says it's true, it must be so! It'd be amazing if you could get over your anti-Bush derangement long enough to realize that this was a sleazy thing to say and is appropriately being treated as such.
