Kerry to appear on 'This Week'

U.S. Sen. John Kerry (D-Boston) on 'This Week': ABC ImageU.S. Sen. John Kerry (D-Boston) will appear tomorrow on ABC's 'This Week with George Stephanopoulos.'

Kerry will be offering his thoughts on the presidential race and reacting to an interview with U.S. Sen. Lindsay Graham (R-S.C.), a close ally of presumptive Republican presidential nominee John McCain.

The show will broadcast like from the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota, the site of the 2008 Republican National Convention.

On Sunday talker, Romney avoids making news

Top Republican vice presidential prospect and former Gov. Mitt Romney said little of note during his appearance on ABC’s ‘This Week with George Stephanopoulos.’

He and his Democratic counterpart, former U.S. Senate Leader Tom Daschle, discussed the candidates’ reactions to the conflict between Russia and Georgia.

Romney pointed to Republican presidential nominee John McCain’s relationship with regional leaders and understanding of the Russian threat as evidence of his strong leadership abilities. He referred to Russia’s incursion and bombing of its southern neighbor as an “authoritarian event,” and said that Putin “has the ambitions of the Old Soviet Union.” He called for the inclusion of former Soviet satellite states to join the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.

Romney and Daschle to debate on 'This Week with George Stephanopoulos'

Former Gov. Mitt RomneyTomorrow, former Gov. Mitt Romney (R-Belmont) will appear on ABC's 'This Week with George Stephanopoulos,' speaking in support of U.S. Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.).

He will appear opposite former Democratic Senate Leader Tom Daschle of South Dakota, who is now a co-chair of U.S. Sen. Barack Obama's (D-Ill.) campaign, in discussing the 2008 presidential race.
