But John Kerry does have a tan

There are number of political taboos -- too many to count, probably. One would be not to joke about Al Qaeda monitoring C-SPAN, and another would be to stay away from touching on race when criticizing folks.

Well, today at the Los Angeles Times Washington bureau, Weston native Grover Norquist said that African American Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama is "John Kerry with a tan."

That might get some people's attention.

The Times does point out that Norquist was very favorable to Indian American Lousiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, much to the dismay of his colleagues at the Club For Growth.

Also: doesn't John Kerry usually have a pretty good tan by this time of year?
